It is a known fact that even if authors read over their manuscript 20 times, they will still overlook a simple spelling or grammatical error. That’s why it is always better and advisable to have a fresh pair of eyes look over your work.
The fee for this is €11 (Euro) per 1,000 words. So if I were to proof a manuscript of up to 50,000 words, the total cost would be €550. To some, this may seem like a lot but most proofreaders/editors charge €30 per hour and if they were to work six hours a day for three days, then the cost would be €540 just for those three days alone! Sometimes it may take me a little over two or three weeks to complete work on a client’s book, project etc. So as you can see, my price is very reasonable and much more affordable in today’s current economic climate.
I will do a sample proofread whereby I will proofread/edit the first ten pages of a manuscript and if you are satisfied with my work, then we can proceed further if you wish.
Proofreading is not just confined to manuscripts. Lucid Eyes Editing also proofreads college assignments and business websites. The rates for these may vary, depending on the amount of work to be done.
